Cresco | East Park

Overlooking Jubilee Park in downtown Springfield, Missouri, Cresco was designed to act as a student-focused housing development that brings the park into the everyday life of its tenants. The key circulation spaces are centered on a terraced courtyard that acts as the primary amenity of the complex. With open green spaces, covered and open-air seating, fire pits, and grilling areas, the courtyard is meant to act as the central hub in a tenant’s everyday experience.

Open plan dwelling units are provided with balconies that overlook the courtyard, Jefferson Avenue, and its connection to the city bike trail. The simple material pallet of Corten panels and cedar siding is left to weather naturally. Polycarbonate walls on the south and west facades bring substantial light into units while providing tenants with a comfortable level of privacy.
