Searcy Ag-Tech Center

Currently in construction, the Searcy High School Agricultural Technical Center will feature two 4,300-square-foot shop spaces with connected classrooms and offices designed to separate trades and reduce safety hazards, a wet lab with a surgery table for hands-on animal science instruction, and a 6,000-square-foot animal barn where show animals will be housed year-round. Sited on more than 165,000 square feet at the north corner of the high school campus along N. Ella St., the building is designed to serve as a civic anchor and a visible landmark that signals the program’s importance to the school, the community and the broader agricultural economy of the region.

The center was designed to make learning more visible and effective by separating shop environments so each discipline can function safely and independently, while keeping classrooms and labs close enough for students and instructors to move fluidly between hands-on work and instruction. The wet lab, purpose-built for animal science coursework, represents a significant leap forward for K-12 agriculture facilities in Arkansas.
